RS Foundation was started by Bajrang Lal, a dedicated individual whose passion for social service and community uplift has shaped the vision of this organization. With a strong commitment to helping others, he began this journey in May 2024, believing that true change starts when people come together with compassion and purpose.
rom the beginning, his goal has been to support communities that need help the most. Guided by empathy and honesty, he created RS Foundation as a platform where volunteers, donors, and families can work together for education, awareness, and social development.
His leadership is simple yet powerful, built on values like integrity, kindness, and equal opportunity. Every project under the foundation reflects his belief that small steps, when taken together, can bring meaningful change to society.
At RS Foundation Trust, we believe that education is the foundation of progress in any society. In a diverse country like India with a population of over 1.3 billion, access to quality education becomes even more important. Every child has the Right to Primary Education, which guarantees free schooling at the primary level.
Even with laws and development programs in place, many children still struggle to complete their education. Child labour is banned and literacy efforts continue to grow, but dropout rates remain a major concern. Across the country, 29 percent of children leave school before completing five years of primary education, and 43 percent leave before completing upper primary. Only 42 percent reach high school. These numbers place India among the countries with the largest population of out of school children, leaving 1.4 million children between 6 and 11 years without access to basic learning.
Globally, an estimated 152 million children are involved in child labour. This includes 64 million girls and 88 million boys, which means almost one in every ten children across the world is affected.
According to Census 2011, India has 10.1 million child labourers. Out of this, 5.6 million are boys and 4.5 million are girls.
Although child labour rates have declined in recent years, many children are still found in dangerous and harmful forms of labour including bonded labour, trafficking, and situations related to conflict.
